Synopsis
A comedic drama set in Wales
It’s the swinging ‘60s – sex, drugs, rock… and coal. Davy, a hippie miner, finds Welsh Gold in a coal mine that’s facing closure. Only a retired miner and Sunny, his talking pony, believe him. Davy’s crew needs proof, but there is only one problem… the miners are on strike. Can they get past the picket lines and their canny wives to get the gold out before the corporate suits shut shop for good?
This comedic drama is set against the zeitgeist of working class Britain in 1969 in all its earthy realism. The crew’s ‘David versus Goliath’ quest - deep into Mother Earth - mirrors the American Apollo moon mission as Woodstock plays on...
